May the 4th - Beer Line Up - Both Locations

Calling all Jedi & Princesses-

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…..

Ha!  Just kidding!  It’s this Monday,  May the 4th, 2015 A.D.,  from 5:00 P.M. until close at both Iron Press locations-- We’ll be celebrating MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU DAY!!!  We had such a good time celebrating it last year, that we just had to do it again!  And trust us, the force is strong with our beer line-up and food specials.  That’s right!  We’ll have Star Wars themed beer line-up, Star Wars themed food specials, Star Wars themed tunes cranking, Star Wars themed everything!  You won’t want to miss this!  The Iron Press Cantina will be rocking!   Check out what we’ll have on draft and the incredible food menu that will be available. We think you’ll find it Chewbacca approved!-

Iron Press Anaheim:

Pearfect Perry Cider – ACE (5%)
We hear kegs of this crisp, gold-medal winning pear cider were the
smuggled goods when the Millennium Falcon made the Kessel Run in less than
12 pear-secs - just ask Senni Tonnika's son, Simon.

May the Port Be With You -- Pizza Port (8%)

If anyone knows May 4th beer, it’s Pizza Port. You’ll know when your midichlorians tingle when you taste the chocolate in this Imperial Porter that the Fourth is strong with this one.

Princess Leia Organa Raspberry Wheat Ale - Left Coast (6%)
Light, refreshing, and reminiscent of Princess Leia’s face when Han Solo
teases her too much.

Jabba the Hutt Imperial Wee Heavy - Left Coast (13.1%)
A Scotch ale as big and bold as Jabba himself. Oh, and we’ve heard it’s
criminally delicious.

Wookey Jack - Firestone Walker (8.3%)
Known as an IPA for dark beer fans, this brew is so dark, roasty, and
peppery you’ll think you stumbled onto the planet Kashyyyk and met Chewie
himself.

Millennium Falconer’s IPL – Weins (5.5%)
This tasty beer is brewed with Millenium and Falconer’s Flight hops to
attack your palate with intense tropical and citrus flavors.

Cloud City IPA - 32 North (7.5%)
Smooth, citrusy, floral, and piney; it’s the perfect beer to refuel with
so you can jet off to the Outer Rim to defeat Jabba the Hutt.

Red IV: Biggs Darklighter Memorial Amber Lager – Beach City (4.6%)
The Rebel Alliance lost many heroes in the Battle of Yavin, but none
greater than Red IV. Biggs Darklighter sacrificed his life protecting his
longtime friend Luke Skywalker. Tip a glass of this Amber Lager in
remembrance of the ace Starfighter.

TIE Pilot Chocolate Assault Nitro Stout – Beach City (6.3%)
TIE Pilots are the Imperial Armada’s first line of offense. Droves of
black clad fighters blast their way through rebel scum like the Milk
Chocolate blast of creamy goodness in your glass.

Gravity Well - Bottle Logic (9%)
A stunning coffee stout so smooth, you won’t even notice you’re caught in
its tractor beam. Feel the power of the dark beer.

Imperial REDioactive - Bottle Logic (8.6%)
Imperial REDioactive has a stong malt backbone and bold stone fruit
flavors with notes of earth and pine. If that strong backbone doesn’t
remind you of an Imperial Guard, its color certainly will.

Lando – Lagunitas (10.8%)
Lando is an Imperial IPA that’s as dank and hoppy as betrayal, and sticky
sweet as Baron Calrissian himself.

Hooligan Han (Nitro) - Mike Hess (5.5%)
Princess Leia fell in love with Han Solo for his dry wit and smooth lines
– and we’re falling in love with that Hooligan for the very same reason.
Hooligan is a dry Irish Stout boasting roasted, bitter, yet creamy flavor.

Space Dust – Elysian (8.2%)
It’s no wonder Elysian Brewing describes the hopping as “pure starglow
energy” – the dry citrus flavor in Space Dust makes us want to jump to
lightspeed.

Ground Control – Ninkasi (10%)
This rich, complex Imperial Stout is brewed with Oregon hazelnuts, star
anise and cocoa nibs, and fermented with Ale yeast that survived a trip to
space and back. Yes, you read that right.

Dark Helmet – Artifex (5.0%)
Yes, its Schwarz is as big as yours. This GOLD MEDAL winning schwarzbier
(black lager) is truly a beer for beer drinkers with its lightly roasted
and dark chocolate flavors, and it’s perfect for nerve-calming when you
get out of Ludicrous Speed.

Galaxian – Bootleggers (11%)
This barleywine tastes as big as the galaxy itself – so thank goodness
it’s not far, far away. Get your fill of dark fruit and caramel flavors.

Java the Hudson Imperial Porter (Nitro) – Golden Road
Want to feel as rich as a crime lord? This Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial
Porter with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, vanilla beans, and Alchemistic
coffee from Portola Coffee Lab will make you feel like you are.

The sun is blazing and the weather is hot, so we thought we’d bring the beach to Anaheim… Redondo Beach that is!

On April 14th, 2015 A.D., surf’s up!  From 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. at our Anaheim location, we’ll be hosting our beer comrades from the coast-  KING HARBOR BREWING.  It will be on the heels of their one year anniversary party and they’ve made sure to set aside their delicious year-round beers, along with some exciting SURPRISE kegs!!!  Here’s some of the tap list that we will have on draft from them.  (The rest is TOP SECRET!  If we told you, we’d have to kill you.):

King Harbor Brewing Co IPA -

India Pale Ale - 6.7% ABV

Over the years we have fallen in love with the tropical fruit forward hop varieties and we went straight for them with our King Harbor IPA. You'll find big hop flavor and aroma like that of West-Coast IPAs, but uniquely King Harbor in the flavor profile created by blending El Dorado, Azacca, and Centennial Hops.

King Harbor Brewing Co The Quest -

Lemon Drop, Single Hopped Pale Ale Series - 5.9% ABV

This hoppy, yet balanced pale ale is our way of giving the customer a unique hop experience. The Quest utilizes the same grain bill and bittering hop (Warrior) for each batch, but the flavor and aroma hop character is attributed to each specified hop. In addition, we add a twist to each version by finding a special ingredient to brighten the character of the flavor/aroma hop.

King Harbor Brewing Co Abel Brown Nitro -

American Brown Ale w/Coffee - 4.7% ABV

Abel Brown is an American style brown ale that is blended with cold press, medium roast, single source, Arabica bean coffee. The aroma is fresh roasted coffee. The taste is a balance of coffee and mild chocolate/toasted characters. Abel Brown delivers all of the flavors of a stout or porter, but with the medium body and clean finish of a brown ale.

King Harbor Brewing Co California Saison -

California-style Saison - 5.5% ABV

The California Saison is a noticeably California twist on the classic Belgian Saison style.  Locally sourced lemon peel and Lemon Verbena from Scarborough Farms in Oxnard, California, combined with the liberal Sorachi Ace hopping give this beer subtle, but complex citrus notes followed by a dry, refreshing finish.

King Harbor Brewing Co Storm's A-Brewin'-

Nitro Baltic Porter - 8.0% ABV

A strong, dark beer with a bready malt backbone, notes of chocolate and sweet dark caramel flavors - toffee and raisin - and a touch of alcohol heat on the finish.

King Harbor Brewing Co The Swirly -

American Brown Ale w/Coffee, Vanilla, & Chocolate - 4.7% ABV

A version of Abel Brown brewed with THCO cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and lactose. Like a vanilla and chocolate swirled ice cream cone!

Mark your calendars!  We’ll have King Harbor tasty brews, beer swag giveaways, dinner/dessert specials, DJ Lex luring everyone to dance it out with his awesome beats and BONUS-- You get to hang out with the Iron Press Crew!  Sounds like a win - win!
