GYPSY TART
THE BRUERY, 8.4% ABV
This flanders-style brown ale delivers the sweet body and mildly tart finish that has won over numerous generations of beer drinkers. Our rendition of this wonderful beer style is perfect for both sour beer amateurs and advocates alike.
BEATITUDE PASSION FRUIT TART SAISON
COUNCIL, 4.5% ABV
Beatitude means 'bliss' in French - also known as what we float away on whenever we enjoy this specially brewed beer. This Tart Saison is brewed in the Belgian tradition of tart farmhouse ales. The magic happens when Council throws in their house blend of Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus and Saison yeast. Aged on various fruits, this provides us sour lovers an intensely tart fruit flavor, a doughy complexity, and takes the word 'refreshing' to a whole new level.
BEATITUDE THREE BERRY SAISON
COUNCIL, 4.5% ABV
More of Council's beloved stellar sour notes bring it in with this three berry saison. Tart, fruity, and oh-so-delicious.
TARTARE ROUGE
BEAR REPUBLIC, 6% ABV
Released from Foeder Number Two, this spontaneously fermented red ale has a tart apricot aroma, toasty malt and wheat flavors balanced by tart acidity, and a pleasantly malty finish.
HOPPY SOUR AMARILLO
ALMANAC, 6.8% ABV
A combination of a brettanomyces farmhouse ale fermented in foedres, with an intense IPA-style dry hop. The result is a melange of peach, pineapple and tangerine aromas and flavors that blend magically with brett’s trademark funk and minerality. This hoppy but not bitter sipper is a versatile complement to a broad range of dishes including sweet Belgian waffles... you do the math!
TELL TALE TART
BOULEVARD, 6.2% ABV
The subtle acidity of Tell Tale Tart is answered by a soft, biscuity malt character, making this a sour ale that suggests, rather than announcing its tartness. Beginning with a bracing sharpness at first sip, the ale mellows on the palate to a smooth and faintly lingering finish.
HIBISCUS GOSE
BOULEVARD, 4.2% ABV
This brew pays tribute to the pleasantly sour, slightly salty wheat beers that originated in Goslar and became popular in Leipzig, Germany around the late 1800’s. A great introductory sour beer, Hibiscus Gose receives coriander and sea salt during boiling, then dried hibiscus flowers at the end to create a vibrant pink hue (really, though, it’s pink!). The result is a tangy, sweet and sour ale with a refreshing citrus character.
SAISON BRETT
BOULEVARD, 8.5% ABV
Saison-Brett, modeled after Boulevard's very popular Tank 7, is assertively dry hopped, then bottle conditioned with various yeasts a wild strain of Brett that imparts a distinctive earthy quality. Though this farmhouse ale was given three months of bottle age prior to release, further cellaring will continue to enhance the Bret character, if that’s what you’re after.
ROSETTA
OMMENGANG, 5.6% ABV
This elegant fruit beer, matured on cherries, is brewed exclusively for Brewery Ommegang by Liefmans, a sister brewery, in Belgium.
GOUDENBAND
LIEFMAN, 8% ABV
Infinitely complex in aroma and flavor with notes of maltiness and tartness throughout. An unsurpassed old brown with the richness and complexity of a vintage wine.
MAREA ROJO
CISMONTANE, 4.4% ABV
Sour Mashed red. If you haven't had it yet, let's change that.
OAK AGED BRETTA
LOGSDON, 8% ABV
This organic Oak Aged Brett is full of oak tannins, vanilla notes and subtle smoky spiciness. It's then re-fermented and carbonated in the bottle with select yeast strains to provide added dryness and complexity.
FRUCHT: BLUEBERRY
THE BRUERY TERREUX, 4.8% ABV
We’re totally Frucht around here! Known for a tart flavor profile and traditionally low ABV, this German-style wheat beer gains even more funky notes and natural earthy-woodiness from its fermentation in the large oak foeder vessel. Each installment in the series features a new fruit, or Frucht, if we’re Sprechen sie Deutsch. This round has blueberries added, which imparts a subtle juicy flavor, refreshing complexity and sheer opulence to the beer.
ANANASSA
TAHOE MOUNTAIN BREWING, 3.7% ABV
Oh yes... a truly delectable Barrel Aged Sour with the addition of strawberries.
SOUR IN THE RYE
THE BRUERY TERREUX, 7.7% ABV
This beloved American Wild Ale is a challenging beer to brew due to the substantial amount of rye malt, but you’ll be glad the guys over at The Bruery took the time. If you've never been lucky enough to try it, brace yourself. Rye asserts itself with clove and pepper in the aroma and flavor, and contributes a full body not generally found in sour beers. Pleasantly sour with notes of tart cherry, rustic earth and vanilla notes from a year-plus of barrel aging.
